Dwyane Wade's mom Jolinda Wade sits down with ABC7

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Jolinda Wade, mother of Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade, sat down with ABC7 Eyewitness News' Cheryl Burton to discuss the opening of a new community center in Chicago's Pullman neighborhood, her niece's murder and how proud she is of her son.

Jolinda and her son will both appear at the Nickelodeon's Road to Worldwide Day of Play, which has teamed up with Wade's World Foundation in Chicago to hold an event to encourage children to get up and get active. The event begins with a tour of the new Willie Mae Morris Empowerment Center in Pullman.
