Allie Quigley again showed why she's among the WNBA's elite shooters, winning her third career 3-point contest Wednesday night at the All-Star Game in Las Vegas.
It was a close one, but Quigley defeated Connecticut Sun star Jonquel Jones in the final round to take home the 2021 title.
In the first round, Quigley had 27 points. In the final round, Quigley beat Jones by going perfect from her money rack -- she made the game-winning basket with about four seconds left -- and dropping 28 points.
The Chicago Sky guard also won the 3-point challenge at the 2017 and 2018 All-Star Games.
In accepting the trophy, Quigley told the crowd to loud boos: "I promise this is the last time I'll do this. I told myself, 'No more!'"
Quigley joins Larry Bird and Craig Hodges as the only players in NBA and WNBA history to win a 3-point contest three times.
Quigley shot 40.7% from beyond the arc in the first half of the season.
Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd and New York Liberty guard Sami Whitcomb also participated in the challenge but didn't advance out of the first round.
