Brad Guzan, Homer Glen native, plays goalie for US World Cup team

HOMER GLEN, Ill. (WLS) -- A World Cup goalie from suburban Chicago talked to Eyewitness News by telephone Friday night all the way from Brazil.

Brad Guzan is one of three goalies playing on the soccer team at the World Cup. He grew up and resides in southwest suburban Homer Glen. That's where his wife and relatives gathered Friday night at his parents' home to watch Honduras play Ecuador.

Guzan joined the viewing party by phone. He says he's excited for the World Cup action this Sunday night when the U.S. takes on Portugal.
