The WNBA season is underway, with teams and players already making statements on the court with their play. Off the hardwood, athletes are also turning heads with their wardrobe selections.

All kinds of fits were on display during the first full week of the season. Mother's Day was last Sunday, and some players took the opportunity to don some mom-centric fits. Other athletes made pop culture nods by honoring movies and television shows with their apparel. In addition, leather ensembles, business casual attire and even vibrant-colored tracksuits made appearances on the pregame red carpet.

One player literally took fashion into her own hands, donning some self-designed pieces on the pregame runway.

Here's a look at some of the more eye-catching fits from the past week across the WNBA:

Skylar Diggins-Smith, Phoenix Mercury

The fit by Diggins-Smith on Saturday resembled Keanu Reeves' iconic character Neo from "The Matrix." She played along with the likeness, quoting a classic line from the film.

Her outfit was courtesy of teammateKristine Anigwe's fashion brand, KA Originals. The leather trench coat is a one-of-one product, according to Diggins-Smith.

Jasmine Thomas, Connecticut Sun

The Sun's team colors are white, blue and orange, but Thomas decided on a lime-green look paired with a Louis Vuitton handbag ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks.

Monique Billings, Atlanta Dream

Billings worked the pregame red carpet before the Dream took on the Las Vegas Aces with her plush-pink outfit.

Alysha Clark, Washington Mystics

Clark made her Mystics debut Friday night after being out since March 2021 because of a Lisfranc injury. She came dressed to impress, donning a multicolored dress with a stylish handbag.

Isabelle Harrison and Charli Collier, Dallas Wings

Harrison showed out with her fashionable attire Friday, opting for an all-tan business-casual look.

On May 7, Harrison and teammate Collier brought out the fire fits ahead of their contest against the Dream. Harrison opted for an all-leather ensemble, with the top being a jersey of Chicago Bulls legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. Collier rocked a Gucci tracksuit and sleek shades.

A'ja Wilson, Dearica Hamby, Sydney Colson, Kierstan Bell and Aisha Sheppard, Las Vegas Aces

On Friday, Wilson wore a pin reading "We are BG" to support Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner. Griner has been detained in Russia since February and her detention was extended another 30 days on Friday.

Colson rocked some eccentric pants that featured ruffles down the outer leg, which stood out against her hoodie and sneakers. Her teammate Hamby rocked some thigh-high leather boots with a T-shirt from fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo's Essentials brand.

Ahead of Las Vegas' game against the Mystics on Tuesday, Colson donned a Mighty Ducks jersey paired with some white Nike Air Force 1's.

The day before, rookies Bell and Sheppard showed love to two Nickelodeon shows with their backpacks. Bell's bag had characters from "Paw Patrol" pictured on it, while Sheppard's featured characters from "Baby Shark's Big Show."

Wilson's Mother's Day look was fitting for the occasion. Depicted on her shirt was a picture of her as a baby and her mother, Eva. On the back, it read "Eva Tha Diva." Her footwear was also on point, rocking a pair of retro Jordan 11's in the "Concord" colorway. Wilson's mother couldn't help but appreciate her daughter's wardrobe selection.

Candace Parker, Chicago Sky

Parker honored lateLos Angeles Lakerslegend and Basketball Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant with her pregame apparel. Ahead of her team's Wednesday matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, she rocked a T-shirt with multiple pictures of Bryant and his daughter Gianna on it.

Destanni Henderson, Indiana Fever

On Tuesday, Henderson arrived at the Fever's game repping her clothing line. She wore the green and black version of the "Keep It HP" shirt with aNew York Yankeesfitted cap.
