WNBA playoffs 2022: Eye-catching fits from the semifinals

Four teams remain in the WNBA playoffs after an entertaining first round. The new playoff format provided a hint of drama, with the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun getting pushed to three games in their respective series. The Las Vegas Aces and Seattle Storm swept their opponents in two games to advance to the next round.



In addition, the pregame runway during the first round was home to several distinctive looks. Players donned stunning jackets, throwback jerseys and a variety of notable fashion brands. The semifinal matchups are primed for more exciting action on the court and sensational outfit combinations off it.




Sky guard Kahleah Copper and Sun guard DiJonai Carrington shouldn't be overlooked as a matchup to watch. Both have shown off their style during the year and are valued contributors to their squads. Seeing which player wins the basketball battle and the style competition will be something to monitor in the Chicago-Connecticut series.

Sky vs. Sun


Game 5





Copper, Candace Parker and more Sky players rocked eye-catching looks ahead of a winner-take-all Game 5.



Game 4


As was standard throughout the regular season, players continued to show support for Brittney Griner with the pregame attire. Carrington stood out with her black and white fit paired with red heels and a Valentino handbag.




Game 3



Standouts from the Sun in the lead-up to Game 3 included Courtney Williams in a floral ensemble, Carrington in white and Brionna Jones with an orange top and distressed jeans.




Game 2



Copper has worn a bunch of exciting designs this postseason, and her apparel ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 featured another pair of eye-catching pants. Rookie Rebekah Gardner mixed casual and relaxed by wearing a jacket and ripped jeans.



Sun players showed off a little bit of everything ahead of Game 2, including exceptional footwear and graphic T-shirts. Connecticut center Jonquel Jones donned apparel showing support forPhoenix Mercury star Griner, whohas been imprisoned in Russia since February after being arrested at a Moscow-area airport for possession of cannabis.

The Windy City was well represented as multiple players arrived in matching shirts that featured Copper, the reigning WNBA Finals MVP.






Storm vs. Aces


Game 3



Wilson mixed casual with luxury Sunday, rocking Balenciaga's "Destroyed Hoodie" ahead of a pivotal Game 3. The hoodie runs for $1,250 on the company's website.



Gray continued to dazzle with her attire, this time donning pants with a striking design and yellow shoes.







Game 2



On Wednesday, Bird and Stewart wore colorful sets with striking designs. Loyd also opted for a vibrant fit.








For the Aces, Gray dressed to impress ahead of Game 2, rocking a one-piece jumpsuit from Beyonce's Ivy Park clothing line along with a necklace that has her jersey number as the pendant. Wilson's shirt might have described her mood for the contest, and rookie Aisha Sheppard wore a shirt with an image of Muhammad Ali on it.






Game 1



Stars from both squads showed up to the series opener dressed to impress.
