Suspect wanted in Gary cellphone store shooting

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A suspect still on the run is charged in the shooting of a security guard inside a cellphone store in Gary, Ind., police say.

Stephen Spivey, 21, who lived just two blocks from the store faces several armed robbery and battery charges in connection with the incident last Friday, which was captured on surveillance video.

Police said Spivey allegedly shot the guard, who is recovering. A second man was involved in the robbery but police are not commenting on him.

Anyone with information about Spivey is asked to call Gary police.
