Puppy stolen while tied up outside store in Port Richmond

Philadelphia police are searching for a man who was caught on surveillance stealing a puppy that was tied to a pole outside a store in the city's Port Richmond section.

PORT RICHMOND -- Philadelphia police are looking for a man who was caught on surveillance stealing a puppy that was tied to a pole outside a store in the city's Port Richmond section.



It happened Monday morning in front of the Rite Aid Pharmacy on the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue.



Police say a 20 year-old woman tied her 5 month-old grey and white Pitbull to a pole in front of the store at 11 a.m. and went inside to purchase some items.





Minutes later, a man in a royal blue SUV can be seen pulling up to the store and taking the dog before fleeing in an unknown direction.



The suspect is described as a bald white or Hispanic male wearing all gray clothing.
