GENEVA, Ill. (WLS) -- Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest eating events of the year. So to help cut-back on calories, the Geneva Park District is hosting their sixth annual Super Shuffle 5K at Geneva Middle School.
The race benefits the Geneva Park District Scholarship fund, which provides recreational opportunities to those in need. Each year up to $20,000 is given to those individuals or families that qualify.
Immediately following the race, you can join the Game Day Party at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center from 10 a.m.-noon. It includes food, drinks, and a football toss for the whole family.
Traci Wicks from the Geneva Park District, joined ABC 7 live from the Super Shuffle 5K to talk about the race and how it helps the community.
