Kirk, McCain meet with Chicago Ukrainian community

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Members of Chicago's Ukrainian-American community gathered Sunday to discuss the need to support Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The group met with Republican Senators Mark Kirk and John McCain at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on the city's Northwest Side.

Kirk is vice co-chair of the Senate Ukraine Caucus, which works to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Ukraine.

Senator McCain is an advocate for providing the Ukrainian government with protection of its citizens against Russian aggression.
