6th grader wins CPS Spelling Bee

A sixth grader is making Chicago Proud by winning this year's CPS citywide spelling bee.

Even he seemed surprised that he won.

Seraj Zerhouni won by correctly spelling the word logothete.

The word refers to an administrator title originating in the Eastern Roman Empire.

Zerhouni will go to Washington D.C. for the annual Scripps' National Spelling Bee in May.
