Bernie Mac Foundation to host ninth annual Purple Carpet Fundraiser

CHICAGO (WLS) -- April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month.

The Bernie Mac Foundation is continuing its fight for a cure with its ninth annual Purple Carpet Fundraiser. The gala raises awareness and critical funds for research.

Rhonda McCullough-Gilmore, president and CEO of the Bernie Mac Foundation, and board member Douglas Gaines joined ABC7 to discuss on Saturday morning.
