Shot CEO's wife posts message on victim's recovery

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The wife of the ArrowStream CEO who survived a deadly shooting in the Loop has posted a message on a website set up to update the public on her husband's recovery.

On Sunday night, Jody Lavoie posted a message to supporters online, updating Steven Lavoie's progress. She described what she called "positive developments on our journey."

"The doctors are attributing much of his recovery to the excellent health he had when he arrived at the hospital," she wrote. "Like a long race, his recovery will take time, patience and some hardship along the way. We are thankful that you are with us on this path and we look forward to celebrating together when Steve crosses that finish line."

Jody Lavoie says her husband's condition is still critical but stable. He was shot nearly two weeks ago by a disgruntled employee who then killed himself.
