CHICAGO (WLS) -- Strong storms brought heavy rain and gusty winds to parts of the Chicago area Tuesday morning.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was in effect for Cook, DuPage and Lake counties in Illinois until 4:45 a.m.
The National Weather Service said the storms were capable of producing 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
ABC7 Meteorologist Phil Schwarz said showers will be possible in the morning hours before becoming cloudy and cool in the afternoon, with a high around 75.
