Driver dies in Stevenson Expy. crash on SW Side, ISP says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A driver died after a single-car crash on the city's Southwest Side, Illinois State Police said.

The crash happened at about 2:21 a.m. as the driver of a Honda sedan reportedly crashed into a pole on the the Stevenson Expressway ramp to Damen Avenue near McKinley Park.

The car was seen with serious damage.

Illinois State Police said the driver was taken to the hospital where they died.

No other information was released. The driver has not been identified.
