Officials investigate death of 6-month-old in Mount Prospect

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (WLS) -- Child welfare authorities are investigating the death of a 6-month-old girl at her Mount Prospect home.

Emergency crews found the child Wednesday morning at the home in the 1100-block of South Sprucewood.

An autopsy was inconclusive but the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating allegations of neglect against the parents.
