Baby girl dies after Cook County Jail visit

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 6-month old girl died Sunday shortly after a visit to the Cook County Jail with her mother.

The family tells ABC7 Eyewitness News that London Norwood died in their car after the mother visited the baby's father in jail

They say London had breathing problems and started coughing. The mother had a device to remove fluid from the baby's lungs. She says it didn't work and London stopped breathing and died.

Police are now investigating the baby's death.
