CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's Archbishop Blase Cupich is spelling out some of his priorities for the archdiocese, calling for collaboration and decentralization in the local church.

He also says it's important to help young people understand the importance of community.

"It's not just about going to church it's about being connected, making commitments, honoring vows and also taking the risk of living in community," Cupich said.

The archbishop spoke at the First Friday Club of Chicago luncheon.

Thursday, he named 11 new leaders in the archdiocese.
