Fish throwing festival in Australia switches to fake Tuna this year
SYDNEY, Australia Competitors hurl fish weighing up to 22 pounds as far as they can in the event. Winners get a grand prize of $870.
The fake fish have been sculpted by an artist out of polyurethane to look just like the real thing. One former champion road tested the fake tuna and came away impressed by the impostor fish.
Some people are objecting to the change, but a festival organizer says it's time they "got green" about the event.
