ABC7 Celebrates St. Patrick's Day With HD Parade Broadcasts

On Saturday, March 15h, everyone's Irish -- and ABC 7 Chicago will continue the celebration of a grand Chicago tradition with the 25th annual broadcast of the Downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Hosts Joel Daly, who will also be marching in this year's parade as "Guest of Honor," Mike Caplan and Frank Mathie join in the fun and help showcase the live coverage of all the music, dance and laughter that make this one of the most anticipated Chicago events each year.

More than 20 bands, 80 floats, thousands of marchers and a few leprechauns will be featured as the parade proceeds from Balbo Drive, north on Columbus Drive to Monroe Street. The ABC 7 Chicago float will also be part of the festivities. Scheduled to appear on this year's float are ABC 7's Mark Giangreco, Tracy Butler, Jim Rose, Ravi Baichwal, Karen Meyer, Jeff Blanzy and "Mr. Food." The parade will be broadcast live and in high definition.
