Cemetery vault left on side of road
LEMONT Officers in southwest suburban Lemont found the vault overnight Thursday just outside a cemetery along State Street and Keepataw Drive.
Officers say the vault was empty.
It turns out a concrete vault company delivered it after the cemetery had closed for the day.
The gate was closed and instead of coming back to deliver the vault Friday, the delivery crew decided to leave it behind.
Lemont police say no crime was committed.
