iPhone shortage fuels rumors

The company says some iPhones are still available at its retail stores and through AT&T.

Apple is not commenting on why its online stores are out of the device or when inventory will be replenished.

There's wide speculation that Apple plans to unveil a next-generation iPhone next month.
