Odds of heart attack survival improving

Heart attacks aren't as deadly now as they have been in the past decades.Heart attacks are no doubt dangerous, but new information reveals they are becoming less severe.

The reason could be better control of blood pressure and obesity, better treatment in the hospitals, and overall better preventive measures.

The report in the journal Circulation found only a marginal decrease in the heart attack death rate but did show a clear trend toward lowered severity.
