Metra expands Southwest Line service

March 21, 2009 (CHICAGO) Three round-trip trains will now run each Saturday.

The new service is a pilot project that will cost $680,000 dollars, and that cost will be shared by Metra and the Regional Transportation Authority. If successful, Metra will keep the service permanently.

The Southwest Line runs from Union Station through Oak Lawn, Worth, and ends in Manhattan.
