The medical examiner identifies the victim as 37-year-old Lamont Johnson of Chicago.
The motive for shooting is not known.
Man fatally shot at gas station

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday night at a gas station at 79th and King Drive.
The victim was working on his car when a gunman approached and reportedly shot him several times.
