1 dead, 2 wounded in W. Side shooting

May 29, 2009 (CHICAGO) The shooting happened about 1 a.m. Friday morning. Police say three men were standing on the sidewalk in the 4200-block of West Gladys.

Someone drove up and opened fire. Police say 37-year-old Kenneth Meeks was killed.

A 22-year-old man is in very critical condition. The third man is in fair condition.

Chicago police say they do not have anyone in custody and don't have a motive for the shooting.
