Tammy Duckworth, the assistant secretary of Veterans Affairs, was in town for the event. She says vets bring unique skills to any employer.
"These are men and women who have literally made decisions under fire, if you want to talk about complete a project on time, think about trying to complete a project on time with someone shooting at you," said Duckworth.Duckworth says the Veterans Affairs budget has been increased this year. It has more funds to help deal with health issues facing vets and with the increasing problem of homeless veterans.
