The owner of a salon and spa in the northern suburbs has been charged with falsifying his income tax return by under-reporting income by $750,000 in the past three years.Teddie Kossof, 64, of Glenview, is president of Teddie's Hair Designers, Inc., which operates Teddie Kossof Salon in Northfield. Kossof will reportedly plead guilty.

Kossof allegedly "skimmed cash receipts of the business on numerous occasions in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and diverted the money for a variety of business and personal expenses," a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Authorities say an accountant did Kossof's taxes and that Kossof failed to tell the accountant about the omitted receipts.
