Its Snapdragon processor makes it faster that its predecessors, which include the HTC Eris and HTC Hero. With more processing power, accessing features that make the Sense UI so useful is even quicker on the Incredible.
Click here for a photo of the back of the Incredible.
The Incredible has a large screen for easy viewing, but remains thin (11.9
milimeters thick). The shape is reminiscent of the Sprint version of the HTC
Hero and Verizon's HTC Droid Eris. The phone feels good in the hand, but I found
the optical trackpad on the front of the phone to be too rough and
uncomfortable.
Typing on the Incredible is fluid and allows a more pleasant experience because
of the Incredible's multitouch capabilities. Android's spell correction works
very well and remembers typed words that aren't in its dictionary. While there
is no hard keyboard on the Incredible, I found the virtual keyboard to work just
fine.
The Incredible runs the latest version of Android, 2.1, and has an updated
version of Sense UI. There are some cool new features that come along with the
new software, like the ability to pinch the screen to view all seven of your
home screens at once.
Of course the user gets everything else that comes with Android and Sense, including access to Android's App Market and Sense's ease of customization.
It bears saying again, what makes the experience on the incredible better
than other Sense phones is just how fast everything works.
The Incredible doesn't bring much new to the table, but it improves upon
everything Android can already do.
My rating: 9 out of 10 bars.
