Police allegedly rough up grandma in traffic stop

July 15, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Jimmie Osideko was arrested during a traffic stop on Tuesday. She was reportedly driving with her young grandchildren when she was pulled over.

Osideko says a police sergeant in an unmarked vehicle demanded that she get out of her vehicle, put her in a choke hold, and forcibly searched her body.

"All of this that I went through was bad. No woman should ever go through this. I got grandkids right now who can't sleep because of what happened to me," said Osideko.

Chicago police are not commenting on the incident. But they say Osideko told officers she was a member of a street gang.

Osideko is charged with resisting arrest and was cited for various traffic violations.
