The blaze broke out at a farm on Harmony Hills Road in Marengo.
The pre-Civil War-era barn -- which had been restored -- appears to be a total loss.
A witness tells ABC 7 News that there were animals inside the barn. Fire officials say none of those animals were hurt in the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
