He's in South Philly at the wells Fargo Center for two concerts this week, but you can see lots more about "The Boss" at the National Constitution Center.
"From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen" is the featured exhibit now through September 3rd. While any Springsteen fan would want to see what's there, the exhibit also makes it plain how his life's work fits the mission of the museum.
Director of exhibits Erin McLeary told Action News that Springsteen's message is all about free speech, and people's struggle through life. Yet, as she put it, its social commentary you can dance to. Displays developed in conjunction with Cleveland's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of fame include art from every Springsteen album.
You'll see instruments owned by Springsteen and each member of his legendary E Street Band. There are many videos to enjoy, as well as other artifacts.
You'll also see his motorcycle and his Corvette from the early 1960's. But, as with every one of the center's exhibits, you'll come to understand how a music icon fits into the story of American freedom.
The Springsteen exhibit is in town through September 3rd, and is free with your regular admission.
