A vehicle hit Maya Hirsch as she crossed a street near Lincoln Park Zoo.
The child's parents sued the city, claiming stop signs and other traffic control markings at that intersection were improperly placed or had deteriorated due to neglect.
The family also settled with David Roth, the 57-year-old driver who struck Maya and drove off.
Roth died in prison in 2008 while serving an eight-year sentence.
