Chicago speed cameras to begin issuing warnings

Speed camera locations announced as installation gets under way in Chicago

Starting Monday, the City of Chicago will begin its automated speed enforcement program. Those caught speeding could receive a warning in the mail.

The first speed cameras installed near Gompers Park will be activated and after 30 days, there will be fines.

Drivers caught traveling six to 10 miles over the speed limit will face a $35 ticket.

Eleven or more miles over will result in a $100 ticket.
