Shuttered Sacred Heart Hospital loses license

Illinois health officials have yanked the license of the already shuttered Sacred Heart Hospital.

The Illinois Department of Public Health sent a notice to the hospital's owner, Edward Novak, earlier this week.

He's facing charges in connection to an alleged Medicare fraud scheme.

Sacred Heart was shutdown in July after the FBI raided the West Side facility looking for evidence.

The hospital can request a hearing to contest the revocation. Novak has denied any wrong doing.
