The wreck happened Friday afternoon along FM 762 and LW Cumings. Police say three 18-year-olds were in a car that was speeding when it hit the back of a dump truck. Wilmer Rodriguez and Alejandro Lopez, both 18, died in the crash. Another passenger remains hospitalized.
Needville ISD released a statement saying, "Any loss of a young life is truly a tragedy. Our community will embrace the families impacted in every way possible."
Counselors were on campus today to help students.
