Round Lake Police release surveillance images in armed robbery

ROUND LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Round Lake Police have released clear surveillance photos and video of a man robbing a gas station at gunpoint Friday afternoon.

Police say that around 1:45 p.m., a man robbed the Marathon gas station in the 1100-block of West Route 134 in Round Lake. The suspect is described as a black male, 40-60 years old with a peppered beard and mustache, wearing a black jacket dark wool cap and sunglasses.

Police say the man showed a handgun and took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing in a dark green or black Nissan Xterra, model year 2001-2004, with a missing front license plate. He fled south on Fairfield Road.
