Attempted luring reported in Lincoln Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning residents of Lincoln Park about an attempted luring reported in the neighborhood.

A man allegedly attempted to lure a female youth into his car in the 500-block of West Grant Place Wednesday around 8:30 a.m., police said.

The man allegedly told the girl to "get into his car," and after the girl refused, she screamed and ran away, causing the offender to flee, police said.

The offender is described as a white male around 40-years-old with black curly hair and a full beard. The victim reported that he was driving a white four-door sedan with rear tinted windows. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Chicago police at 312-747-8380.
