Black bear wanders into Rockford family's yard

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WLS) -- A quiet weekend turned into something out of "Wild Kingdom" for a Rockford family after an adult black bear strolled into their yard.

The bear came into Sheryl Hutchinson's yard Saturday and tried to find something to eat in a hummingbird feeder. Hutchinson said the bear was just three feet from her dining room table.

The bear then moved around the house to eat berries from a tree near her garage. Hutchinson said the bear was not aggressive and eventually wandered off.
