Boy, 11, suffers burns after riding bike through fire, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An 11-year old boy suffered burns on his legs after riding his bicycle through some items that were set on fire on Chicago's South Side.

Police said a group of children were lighting books and other items on fire near W. 86th Street and S. Peoria St. when the boy rode through the flames, setting his pants legs on fire.

The boy is being treated at Comer Children's Hospital.
