ESPN reporter Britt McHenry suspended after tirade caught on video

ESPN reporter Britt McHenry has been suspended for one week after video surfaced Thursday where she berates an employee at a tow yard.

"I'm in the news sweetheart. I will (expletive) sue this place," McHenry said.

She lobs insults at the employee about her education, intellect and appearance.

"Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me huh? McHenry said. "Lose some weight baby girl."

The video was posted to the site, Live Leak, and quickly went viral.

McHenry, who is a Washington D.C.-based reporter at ABC7's sister network, ESPN, took to Twitter to apologize.

"As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake," she wrote.
