See most popular Halloween candy by state in interactive map

If you're trying to decide which candy to buy for the kids in your neighborhood, this map should help. Just in time for the holiday, CandyStore.com has determined the most popular Halloween candy in every state.

Topping the list were Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and candy corn, with five states each. Several types of candy were the most popular in three states, including Sour Patch Kids, Milky Way and Skittles. Perhaps one of the most peculiar trends was that salt water taffy was popular just before Halloween on the west coast, winning out in California and Washington.

The bulk candy seller determined the most popular candy by looking at the amount of each type of sugary treat ordered in every state over eight years (2007-2015) during the three months before Halloween.
