CeaseFire Week kicks off in Cicero

CICERO (WLS) -- Corazon Community Services kicked off CeaseFire Week in Cicero with a soccer tournament for children and young adults.

Several other events are planned through the week including a family festival, a health fair, and a peace march. Thousands are expected to take part.

Cicero is celebrating continuous reductions in gang-related shootings and homicides, even though it is right next to some of Chicago's most violent neighborhoods.
