Charity4LIFE fundraises to improve life for Latin American, Caribbean children

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicagoans pride themselves in helping those in need. One Chicago-based nonprofit charity wants to make sure street children around the world are getting a shot at a better life. Charity4LIFE helps street kids get better access to food and clothing, education and emotional support, as well as escape drugs, gangs, physical and sexual abuse. Charity4LIFE works with project partners in Latin America and the Caribbean and allocates 100 percent of public donations to fund its cause. You get the chance to support the charity's work and have fun doing it at its fundraiser, its largest event to date.

Jeannette Pawula, founder and CEO of Charity4LIFE, and Liz Flores, a Chicago-based, self-taught artist who is part of the "Believe in the Possible" event, came into our studio to talk about the organization's work and the event.
