CHICAGO (WLS) -- The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Army Golden Knights and U.S. Navy Leap Frogs parachute teams headline the list of performers for the 2016 Chicago Air and Water Show.
For the first time, the Air Force's F-35s will fly in the show. Returning acts include Sean Tucker, Team Oracle, AeroShell Aerobatic Team and more.
The Golden Knights return to Chicago after skydiver Sergeant 1st Class Corey Hood died after a midair collision during last year's show.
The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 20-21, with North Avenue Beach serving as show center. Admission is free.
ABC7 is a sponsor of the 58th Chicago Air and Water Show. Meteorologists Jerry Taft and Tracy Butler will host a half-hour special highlighting the show, which will air Sunday, August 21, at 11 p.m. with an encore presentation on Sunday, August 28, at 4:30 p.m.
