CHICAGO (WLS) -- Young Chicago Blackhawks fans will have more of a reason to study hard and read in school this year.
The team launched a new reading program for grades K-8 across Chicagoland. Participants will keep a reading log and bookmark how many pages they've read at home.
Each month, the top five readers will get two tickets to a Blackhawks game, a certificate signed by a player and be recognized on the team website.
The new program runs through March. The classroom with the most readers will get a personal visit from a Blackhawks player and Tommy Hawk.
