CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Blackhawks honored the World Champion Chicago Cubs during Sunday's night game.
The ice and scoreboard at the United Center were decorated with the Cubs' logo to pay tribute to the team's first World Series victory in 108 years.
Right fielder Jason Heyward, slugger Kyle Schwarber and pitcher Mike Montgomery brought the World Series trophy out to center ice, and retiring catcher David Ross got a huge ovation when he was shown on the videoboard and again when he played "shoot the puck" during intermission before the third period. All were seen wearing personalized Blackhawks sweaters.
Schwarber tweeted that it was his first Blackhawks game ever.
