Chicago police officer dragged during West Side traffic stop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police officer was injured after being dragged during a traffic stop in the Austin neighborhood Saturday morning, police said.

The officer pulled over the driver of the SUV in the 5400-block of West Harrison Street at about 1:26 a.m., police said.

At some point, the driver took off, dragging the officer down the street.

The officer was transported to Rush University Medical Center in good condition.

Police are investigating and no one is in custody.
