Mayor announces high speed Wi-Fi in all CPS classrooms by 2016

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city of Chicago is working to make high speed internet available to all Chicago Public School students one year sooner than anticipated.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that all students would have wireless high speed internet in their classrooms by 2016 at his event at Dawes Elementary School Tuesday.

Funding for providing the internet service is coming from a $37.7 million federal grant.
