CHICAGO RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- A southwest suburban mall was evacuated and closed after a large fight broke out Sunday evening, and police say there is an ongoing investigation into a report of shots being fired during the incident.
"All I was told is we had to evacuate," said witness Victoria Brayfield.
Cell phone video shows a teenager being detained by police at the Chicago Ridge Mall, which shut down early after a fight broke out involving a large group of teenagers. The incident took place around 6 p.m. near the food court, and at one point reports went out on the police scanner that shots had been fired, police said.
"Everyone was ducking around, running everywhere," said witness Mohammed Abed. "I tried to go into Victoria's Secret. The people who work there closed the gates so no one could get in, so we were all ducking. Everyone was yelling. It was a mess."
Police from all over the area responded to the call. Officers flooded the mall to help evacuate.

"All of a sudden there are cops coming from everywhere, dogs and what not, as I'm walking around I see a dude, hand on his nose, had blood on floor," he said.
None of the witnesses interviewed heard gunshots and police say they are still not sure whether there were any.
There were no reports of injuries and no arrests were made.
