Shooting on Laramie Avenue over I-290 jams inbound traffic

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A driver was shot on Laramie Avenue over the Eisenhower Expressway. The shooting investigation snarled inbound traffic during the Wednesday morning commute.

The driver got onto the expressway after the shooting, around 5 a.m. Wednesday. The car came to a stop in the right lane just past Cicero. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital.

State police and IDOT crews closed the right lane of the inbound Ike for the investigation.
